Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers make sense of live music without assuming prior knowledge. A strong proposal has a clear question, a distinct subject and a useful idea the reader can take away.
What we are looking for
Pitch evergreen pieces about choosing performances, reading programmes, understanding concert customs, finding your bearings in venues or listening more attentively. We value specific angles: name the question the article will answer and explain what makes your approach distinct. Comparisons should explain the trade-offs rather than declare one universal winner.
A useful pitch
Send a short summary, a proposed title, the intended reader and a few lines about how you would shape the piece. Tell us whether the idea depends on a particular event or personal access. We prefer proposals that can be useful without statistics, unverified claims or advice that depends on local rules.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to submit a proposal. Please send the idea rather than a full article unless we have agreed otherwise. We cannot promise publication, and a pitch should not assume that a subject is already assigned.
